What Is UV & Why Does It Matter?

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is invisible energy from the sun that can damage your eyes over time. In New Zealand/Australia, UV levels are among the highest in the world. Long-term exposure contribute to eye strain, premature ageing, cataracts, and lasting eye damage. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), UV exposure contributes to up to 20% of cataract cases globally, making it one of the leading preventable causes of blindness.
