Kia ora! I’m Shuai Wu, most of my friends call me Mario, which is my english name, the founder of URBA VISTA.

Originally from China, I’ve been living in New Zealand for nearly 10 years since 2016 from Christchurch to Auckland, now living in Whakatane and quickly learned how strong the UV levels can be here. I also noticed that good-quality sunglasses in NZ often come with a pretty high price tag.

That’s really where the idea for URBA VISTA started.

I wanted to create sunglasses that looked good, felt comfortable, high quality, good materials, but didn’t cost a fortune — something people could wear every day, whether they’re driving, at the beach, walking around town, or just out enjoying the sun.

What started with small market stalls in Auckland and Tauranga has slowly grown into a local NZ brand focused on affordable, reliable eyewear made for everyday NZ life.
